PANAREA E STROMBOLI BY NIGHT
March through October
Every day
At 2:00 am embarkation at the Port of
Vulcano.
At 2:15 am embarkation at the Port of
Lipari.
We will sail direction Panarea,
leaving back Lipari, The Castle,
Monterosa, The White Cape (The
Pumice
Caves): In Panarea we will visit from the
sea its beautiful Bays and Isles of Dattilo
and Lisca Bianca. After
Basiluzzo just in front is the Island of
Stromboli with ist 920m, the Beacon of the
Mediterranean Sea. The
cobalt-colored
waters, and the almost perfect cone, the
black lava mountain, and the
smouldering
crater
offer a unique experience, especially at
sunset with the Aeolian white houses build
on its slopes. We stop
until
sunset
to
visit
the
island.
A
particular attraction is the love nest of
Roberto Rossellini and Ingrid Bergman
during the filming of "Stromboli";
another curiosity for Stromboli is the fact
that it was the setting for the conclusion
of the novel "A Journey to the Center of
the Earth" from 1864 by Jules Verne.
Worth a visit are the Church of San
Vincenzo and its square where you can
admire a magnificent panorama of the
islands. It will be also possible to freely
climb the crater of Stromboli until the
Observatory at 400 meters, where you can
have another magnificent view. At sunset on
the boat we will be between
Strombolicchio and the villages of
Ficogrande and Piscità. Then
transfer under the Sciara del Fuoco (Fire
street) to admire from the sea the
spectacular eruptions of the active
volcano and the small village of Ginostra.
At 10:00 pm we will be back to
Lipari.
At 10:30 pm we will be back to
Vulcano.
